The 23rd edition of The Manufacturing Congress was held in Donostia-San Sebastian from 25 to 27 October 2023. This year, the congress featured more than 100 conferences that addressed the challenges of the future in the field of advanced industry and four prizes to be given to different initiatives and projects.

In particular, Aracne Textile Solution won the prize for the best research paper in poster format. Entitled “Adavanced photonics for needles and sinkers control zero Manufacturing in Textile production”, the design work describes the possibilities offered by the needle and sinker control system for defect detection in textiles and, consequently, the drastic reduction of defective textile production.

The Manufacturing Congress is an informative and scientific congress for a specialised audience, where in addition to product exhibitions and the promotion of advanced manufacturing and machine tool services, B2B meetings will be held to generate networking opportunities among participants. This is the first technological congress in the country, which held its first edition in 1976, and has already become a benchmark event in the field of advanced and digital manufacturing.
