Eurecat and the textile company Canmartex constitute the spin-off Aracne

Last Wednesday Eurecat and the textile company Canmartex set up the spin-off Aracne, which will focus on predictive and quality control systems for the knitwear manufacturing process and has a business plan that foresees the launch of the first product modules on the market in the second half of 2023.

The Aracne system predicts defects that could occur in stitch knitting with large-diameter circular knitting machines caused by the braking or wear of machine components, such as gullets and platens. It also visualizes the fabric drop when it is being manufactured, in order to detect defects that are occurring at that moment for other reasons, such as problems with the wire, mechanical problems or holes in the fabric.
